007 - Everything or Nothing
So thanks to the recommendation by Renee, I finally got around to seeing Cats Don’t Dance.
Um. Adorable. Fun. Good music. I don’t know why I never saw it as a kid, I feel gypped.
It’s worth watching just for the goofy Old Hollywood references; plenty of blurbs about MGM, and a lot of classic movie allusions, anywhere from Gone with the Wind to Singing in the Rain to The Wizard of Oz.
Actually, it reminded me a lot of the musicals from the 1940s, which I’m sure was the intent. Boy meets girl, girl can’t stand boy, boy reminds girl why life is worth living and then boy gets girl. After they all become famous. Perfect.
