Scruff + chest hair. Yes, PLEASE.

I’m gonna post some screen caps/gifs of Gene Kelly in The Cross of Lorraine.

Okay? Okay.

So I’m sitting in the kitchen, minding my own business, when I hear the roar of Leo the lion coming from the TV in the next room.

Okay, my mother is watching a MGM movie.

Then I hear the theme from the French Resistance.

Me: “Oh, cool, I know that tune.”
Me: “…”
Me: “Wait a second…”

I rush into the room just in time to see the French flag waving in all its glory while the title The Cross of Lorraine blazes across the screen.

MY MOTHER IS WATCHING THE CROSS OF LORRAINE OF HER OWN ACCORD.

WHAT.

IN.

HELL.

So then I had a conniption fit for about fifteen minutes because I’m trying to repress my instinctual response to flip out with excitement. My mother is just laughing at me.

For those of you that wanted this photo larger…

Oh wow, thanks for doing that!!

I am offended by how small this photo is. Truly offended.

This lucky girl recieved The Cross of Lorraine on DVD as a Christmas present.

So expect some beautiful screen caps, children. Because I can.
